The series of drawings called Circus Dreams grew out of two very serious drawings I did for Amy and Greg. As these drawings developed, it became clear that there was a feeling of excitement and happiness perhaps hiding a more dangerous world. The Circus for me is a rather distressful domain representing what is at once both funny and scary about life itself.
